Guys – it’s time for a confession – I have never made a wreath before. Always wanted to, but never have. I thought they were super complicated and you’d need tons of tools  and I don’t know why, it was always this really complicated project that I never attempted.  Turns out, they’re incredibly easy! I was just being a drama queen for no reason!

Pfft. Wreath? I got you in no time.

It was all a matter of one rainy Sunday afternoon, a little craft shopping, some tea on the side (always have tea on hand when crafting. It’s a rule.) and this little Spring wreath was on its way! I had gone to Michael’s the day before to pick up some faux flowers and other supplies and I was walking through the ribbon aisle when this little polka dotted beauty caught my eye. It was love at first sight! I have a slight obsession with polka dots – I have about a dozen polka dotted tops, pjs, and you will also find polka dots on some of my art work! So, needless to say, I grabbed that spool of ribbon like a fat kid at a dessert bar.

Along with the sheer black and white ribbon, I picked up some peonies, carnations and baby’s breath, and of course the wreath base (which was $4!)

The actual process was so easy and fun! I am vowing to never ever buy a wreath again, everyone just needs to make this and have a fun craft party around it <<– Great idea right here, guys!

So here’s what you need:

– Faux flowers (I used three small bunches of carnations, 1 peony arrangement, 2 baby’s breath stems)

– Natural wreath

– Ribbon (I used a 1.5″ ribbon)

– Pliers

– Scissors

– Wreath hanger

– Glue gun (optional)

– Floral wire (optional)

Step 1:

Use a pair of pliers to cut all the flowers about six inches from the base

Step 2:

Intertwine all the flowers into the wreath and use the glue gun/floral wire to secure if it’s windy outside your front door. I got away without using either!

Step 3:

Once you’re satisfied with the arrangement tie your ribbon on the top to hang it off of the wreath hanger.

That’s it, guys! It was just three little steps to this beautiful pretty & pink, polka-dotted Spring wreath. If you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to pin it and share on facebook! :)
